Jarvis appoints Phillip Price as Managing Director of its Rail and Plant businesses

We are pleased to announce that Phillip Price has joined Jarvis’ management team as the new Managing Director for its Rail and Plant businesses.

With immediate effect Phillip takes over the day to day responsibility for both businesses from John Snowdon who plans to retire. John will work closely with Phillip to ensure a comprehensive handover and will also carry out some projects for Chief Executive Stuart Laird before retiring fully.

Phillip joins Jarvis from Laing O’Rourke where he has been Managing Director of its Infrastructure business for the last three years. Phillip brings with him a wealth of experience following a career in construction and related markets spanning more than 18 years. Through his career he has held senior positions at companies including Alfred McAlpine and the Yorkshire Electricity Group.

I have known John has wanted to retire for sometime and it has been a challenge to find someone suitable to follow him. Whilst I wish him well for a long and happy retirement I am also glad he has agreed to stay on with us for a while to ensure a smooth transition.”
